Ms. York


Mrs. York defines herself as an Educator Extraordinaire who has been teaching 20+ years.  After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree in English she went on to get a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University in Arizona.

A view of her educational philosophy could be presently summarized by the following quotes:

 Currently, her assigned classes are Senior English and Mock Trial/Debate. She has previously taught Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior English levels along with being a Theatre Arts instructor.  

She first started teaching in Mission, Texas which is located way down south Texas.   Mrs. York was the Mission High School U.I.L. Academic Coordinator and Theatre Arts/Communications Department Director.  While under her supervision the Mission U.I.L.  Team championed many district titles.

Mrs. York was also the Administrator for the Program: 8th grade Connection at Mission C.I.S.D.  This program helped bridge incoming freshman to the high school.
