NHS Helps North Shore High School in HoustonDr. Joe Coleman, principal of North Shore High School in Houston, accepts a check for $1,000 from Dr. Michael O’Guin (right), principal of Nacogdoches High School, to aid in the recovery from Hurricane Harvey. The NHS Key Club joined with other NHS student organizations (Student Council, National Honor Society and Students of Color) to raise funds for North Shore. The NHS organizations continued their support through “Socktober Fest” through the end of October, where students collected socks to send to North Shore, as well as other activities throughout the year, to help others who lost everything from the catastrophic flooding.
