Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT Crew)

The Leaders of Tomorrow program, the LOT Crew, is a leadership development program hosted by the Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce, but actually is a collaborative program that include significant contributions by the City of Nacogdoches, Stephen F. Austin State University, and the public schools across Nacogdoches County.

Representatives from these groups are members of the Education Committee and who work cooperatively to support leadership skills, beliefs, and attitudes for grade 8 students.  Approximately 34 grade 8 students, selected from applications or nominated by school districts, meet monthly, August through May, to learn about city and county services, about economic development, about business and industries, and about leadership skills and opportunities.

These young people learn to work together, learn to communicate more effectively, and learn the importance of engaged citizens in helping communities and cities be successful.
